Her paintings hang in county court houses, as well as both corporate and private collections. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across the United States. Her work has appeared in publications, including Atlanta Style & Design Magazine, and various news papers. She has won several major awards from exhibitions, including Best of Show and People’s Choice. Along with commissioned portraits and landscapes, she paints equestrian and polo action scenes.  She is known for her sensitive interpretation of life and her ability to capture the essences of her subjects.

In addition to her commissioned works, Mrs. Ryan also has donated her talents to several worthy projects.

Although she has developed her own unique style of painting, her greatest influences include Burton Silverman, and John Singer Sergeant. Her talent and love for the arts show in every brush stroke.

Mrs. Ryan has been married to her husband Rick for over 30 years and they have two adult children.

Kathleen on Channel 11 News, featuring "Art from the Heart"

I was privileged to participate in “Art from the Heart," a project that donates portraits of Georgia’s fallen soldiers. The paintings were initially exhibited at the National Museum of Patriotism in Atlanta in September 2007. The paintings have been displayed at the Georgia Capital and featured on Channel 11 News. As a mother of two, I was honored to have the opportunity to provide comfort to the families of Georgia's fallen soldiers. "911- Never Forget" Oil 12" x 24"

I took the photo that inspired this painting only five days before the attack. It was a beautiful day, and I could see the Twin Towers clearly from the ferry. This oil painting is dedicated to all of the innocent victims who parished on 9/11/2001.

Mrs. Ryan often donates her time and talents to the arts. A great example was the theatrical production of "A Raisin in the Sun". As the featured artist, Mrs. Ryan painted portraits of the cast for use in the programs, promotional advertising, and posters, including the one shown below.
